2016 January 11 From: LaVerne Power Sent: 1/11/2016 7:40 PM To: Island County Commissioners Subject: Wonn Road access to public beach County Commissioners: Please consider the rights of Whidbey Island's citizens when hearing the request to prevent our access to the beach off Wonn Road. This historic landing place to the island has been public through the ages. Please don't continue this farce of a private individual's claim to keep us out. Recent maps of Whidbey Island still show "Greenbank Beach Park", right off Wonn Road. Exchanging this historic site for a spot off Ledgewood is ludicrous. Many Island visitors come to Greenbank Farm to enjoy this lovely area; how perfect to be able to walk through to the beach to observe its beauty. Apparently it had always been a great spot for kayakers to use also. This has gone on for too many years, and his claims need to be disallowed once and for all.
